Our Homeless Epidemic Solution

Good morning,

Hope all is well.

I wanted bring a topic to discussion regarding the Covid-19 epidemic and the Homeless population. I have not seen any of the Homeless situation status on the news and was thinking about how the Government is handling it? 

Covid-19 Virus and Homeless – These people have no form of current news or information regarding the virus. They have no Medical assistance, Health Benefits or access to Medication and are probably Infected and spreading the Virus at a rampant pace.

Below is my plan to stop the Covid-19 spread and eliminate the Homeless population.

Here is my Path and Process to help this situation:

Using the Armed Forces Recruitment Process (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard) for vetting new recruits : Boot Camp – Full Hygienic Cleanse - Physical Examination – Mental Examination – Designation to locations as per the recommendation after the vetting process. Each Division of our forces would designate a percentage of personnel to work together on this to process the Homeless populations, stop the Virus Spread Immediately and remove all homeless and get them back to society. 

Phase I – Sweep all Cities with Armed Forces to remove all Homeless and transport them to the HPSF (Homeless Processing and Settlement Facility). 

All States are to have Municipality Forces follow up and Remove and dispose of all Homeless camps in all locations and dispose of all manmade structures so all residents and businesses can operate without the homeless issue and threat of Virus spreading.

Mobilization and set up of the HPSF – These facilities would be set up using the American Made Modular Offices, Modular Hospitals, Modular Homes, Modular Portable Bathrooms and Showers Buildings. There are many variations of these buildings across America that can be immediately activated.  

**Please Note- Homeless Individuals do not go to Homeless Shelters due to Crimes that are committed there from Drug addition, Mental illness and Criminal Activity that cannot be controlled or curtailed by government workers BUT the Armed Forces can Control and Enforce all procedures in the process while providing Secure and Safe Environment to Homeless Individuals to prosper.**

Phase II Activation of Homeless Vetting/Processing Camp – This location would be a “Self Contained City” of Prefabricated structures for the above processes as follows: 

1) Building # 1 - Main Entrance for all Homeless to be brought into, Registered, Segregated by Gender, Age or if in Family Group. All belongings removed and stored.

2) Building # 2 – Sanitization Process – All Homeless will be Bathed and Sanitized for Physical Examination so as to contain their possible Covid-19 spread.

3) Building # 3 -  Medical Examination Process – Full Physicals with Bloodwork for all with holding beds for those that are sick and need immediate assistance.

4) Building # 4 – Temporary Housing Buildings (i.e. Military Barracks) – Segregation Buildings for Women, Men, Women and Children, Full Family, Special Needs Individuals and Addiction Recovery Individuals.  

5) Building # 5 - Food Service (i.e. Military Mess Hall) – This Building will be segregated and serve all of the above but in separate areas. Future Staff will be graduates of the facility that need employment. 

6) Building # 6 – Occupational Placement for all Individuals that are Physically Capable to work and be productive to help with any HPSF, Government, County or Town jobs so they can get paid for their work, get Health Benefits and also payback for the Process.

7) Building # 7 – Permanent Yearly Housing for individuals that have been placed and working to get themselves on a projected plan for their own 1 – 2 year placement back in society. 

8) Building # 8 – Mentally Disabled will be housed here and cared for so they are not left on the street.

9) Building # 9 – Physically Disabled will be housed here and cared for but will be able to be placed into jobs that coincide with the physical ability they have.

10) Building # 10 – Addiction Disabled Individuals will be housed here for Detox and Processing to help get all individuals back on a clean productive path back to society.

11) Building # 11 – Food Service and Farm – All Individuals that have gone through HPSF and are able to work would be given jobs to Grow and Serve Food to the Facility.

12)Building # 12-13-14 – Utility’s, Infrastructure, Waste Water Treatment and Grounds Maintenance. All of these will be staffed by future graduates of the facility but will maintain Armed Forces status.  

Phase III Employment and Placement of Homeless – This location would be set up to give jobs to all HPSF Individuals that have passed through the facility to help keep this process going in the form of a “Self Sustaining Business” The Homeless that are processed and able to work would be getting Paid to Help the next phase of Homeless and pay back their debt to the process. They can also be Employed by the Government after they have successfully gotten back on their feet. All Homeless Individuals have had some form of employment and due to hard times, financial failure, addiction or mental and physical failure need a “Hand Up NOT a Hand Out” and would be a great boost for their Self Esteem as Humans and this economic process.

If you look at this process for using American Forces and American Products we can keep this cost down. All other Homeless that are Mentally and Physically disabled would be cared for and given a home that is controlled and regulated by the Armed Forces to protect these individuals.

Please Note: I have never been Homeless, I have never been in the Armed Forces but know I that the Regimentation Our Armed Forces bestow would be the remedy to a problem that the past and current Government has Not been able to fix with Special Interest Groups, Homeless shelters or any of the programs they have thrown billions of dollars at.
